IFFAAD has an active membership of leading professionals from the aviation, space and development sectors.
                                
IFFAAD Mission is to be an important focal point (independent think-tank) for the exchange of ideas and promotion of public interest in aviation and development worldwide. In particular it wishes to encourage cooperation between various interested sectors, such as aerospace, tourism, industry, commerce and social development and to foster a constructive dialogue amongst policy makers (governments, industries, international organizations, et al.) universities, professionals, students and individuals. As a 'think tank', IFFAAD, Montreal, will play a complimentary role in assisting the ICAO and IATA on critical aviation related issues. IFFAAD will play a complimentary role in assisting the Ministry of Civil Aviation, DGCA and other civil aviation regulators in India.

The focus of Mission is to assist in providing innovative solutions for the challenges triggered by the global exponential growth of the aviation sector, its inevitable convergence with space and its immense symbiotic impact on development. The issues that are addressed by IFFAAD include the safety, security and environmental impact of the balanced growth of the Aviation and Space sectors in the context of sustainable socio-economic development interface, and cross-sector issues, among others.

IFFAAD added an important focus to Mission: to engage in advocacy and awareness creation vis-a-vis the synergistic relationship between aviation and development. The new public awareness programme was initiated in consequence of lessons learnt from. IFFAAD is a Public Education Body which holds its Conferences and Seminars in an open dialogue with no entrance fee all including students are welcome to attend.
